Can you do this in a kilt?

I may be interested in this sport. But, if it cant be done in a Kilt I will have no part of it.

I, *cough*, personally don't wear a kilt, but some of my friends were talking about this at a UKFA tournament last weekend. Apparently, it's rather hard to find a kilt that proves durable, while not being too heavy when soaked. The makers of the ever-popular Utilikilt recently announced that they will be introducing a kilt made of a more water-resistant material (designed for fishermen, but I suppose it'd work for UKF as well...). Expect to find it around March of 2009.

On another note, lederhosen are becoming quite popular in tournaments around Ohio.

The general properties of a kilt make swimming difficult. UKF? Not easy at all. I would avoid it in any serious match, unless you enjoy knife fighting with your legs tangled.

When I practice I usually wear jeans and a Denim jacket, but I do all of my UKF matches in the nude. it helps me move around with more ease....

pish posh people. The kilt is the ultimate of freedom without being in the nude. Though I personally do UKF in the Bday suit, Kilt made of a waterproof material would be great.

Yes, but you lose a lot of UKF matches.
