| This 3D stuff is getting out of hand. The two part Harry Potter finale is also in 3D. Really?? The whole rest of the series hasn't been! Same on this one. |

It really needs to be a rare thing that is carefully implemented only when it highly adds to the movie, not some standard thing thrown in there like it has been lately. I'm just glad Iron Man 2 wasn't in 3D. |

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

| Saw this yesterday... was enjoyable. Preserved the integrity of the novel fairly well, and the changes they did make helped it function better as a film. The 3d was forgettable, but not distracting. I was pleased by the level of Christian-ness they left in, especially in Eustace's discussion of Aslan removing his dragon's skin, one of my favorite parts of the whole series. |

| i was really disappointed by it. i didn't think the integrity of the book was preserved really at all. i mean, a lot of what happened is in the book--at least, the movie captured ideas of what happened--but it all gets adapted and mashed around until it's not really recognizable as what c.s. lewis originally wrote.
also...the sea serpent was more like a giant creepy prehistoric spiny thing than a serpent. my best friend and i agreed that it was unnecessarily hideous. haha.
i really appreciated how closely the lion, the witch & the wardrobe followed the book, and i wish that the same had happened with voyage of the dawn treader, particularly because it's one of my favorites. i think that there was quite enough adventure in the book for it to translate to a great movie without all the changes that were made. |

Are you suggesting...
1) Allegory isn't appropriate for communicating biblical truth
2) Narnia isn't allegory
3) Narnia is BAD allegory of biblical truth
4) Something else |

.... one of the biggest deception of Hollywood .... seriously | Of course believing in a literal Lion Aslan that is lord over all of the parallel universe of Narnia is a pretty heretical thing to believe. But I'm pretty sure if you come away with that impression, you're probably missing the point.
It's a series of fictional books by a Christian author... And Hollywood actually has very little to do with Narnia at all. I'm guessing you didn't read the books? |

I don't know. I guess I am just annoyed with everything being in 3D. Or, more so that it is more expensive to see a 3D movie. |
