What is empiricism: it's pros and cons.

I'm not merely asking this for a debate/argument of any sort. Rather, I'm posting this for the reason of reading an "oration" of a particular CGR member, whose "formal debate with another person" I accidentally visited on one of the CGR pages was "privately" (yet open to public) discussing the pros and cons of empiricism. That was a while back but I forgot the page and want to revisit it (if I could) as it appeared to me to be interesting. I've already did a search but no luck. Anyone aware of this? I guess you can say i'm "summoning" him. Let me know if this is all good.

Perhaps we would do best to start with your specific definition of "empericism". Since you are in science, not philosophy, I can make some assumptions: but I'd rather start with making sure I understand what we are discussing.

There's more than one definition? I wouldn't mind at all if more than one definition is offered here but since I asked, we could start with yours. But would I really like is a link to that one page. I think it belonged to one of "well known" CGR members.
