Sure, they'd outsell a Squier. But keep in mind that you're looking at two different markets. Most Squiers are aimed towards beginers (although some of their "higher end" stuff has a broader appeal) while the Musicvox would likely appeal to more experienced musicians albiet with a slightly - shall we say - ecclectric taste in guitar designs.

The thing is that I don't feel like I'd say that if we were comparing a Squier Affinity or some other beginner Squier to the Musicvox.

But yeah...it does come down to a combination of looks and quality.
