LCD moniter problems

Hey everyone I am have problems with my Dell inspiron 6000 Laptop. The displays is mostly black but if you get it in the right light you can barley see something on the screen. So I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell if that sounds like I need to replace the whole LCD screen or if it is an inverter problem something like that.

It sounds like either the inverter board is bad or you have a bad CF bulb. I had the exact same problem a little while back. Mine was still under warranty and Toshiba ended up replacing my entire LCD.
