I would have put this in the Relationships forum, but I wanted to post anonymously.

My boyfriend's best friend is mean and disrespectful towards me. I've tried to talk to my boyfriend about it, but he doesn't see things the way I do. Oh yeah, and his best friend is a girl.

Other than this, there haven't been any other major issues between us.

I would say it's most likely jealousy problems.
Have you talked to her before you starting going out with your boyfriend? If things were fine between you then but not now, it's most likely jealousy.
