Oh gosh, they changed their name?

I have their original CD from before they got signed and it is far, far better than their newer material. Of course, maybe their new album is better, but I'm skeptical.

Well they did have a vocalist change after Maverick dropped them, so they changed their name and got signed to Tooth & Nail.

I really like these guys... at times they remind me of Spoken.

I've only heard of them cause apparently my guitar teacher was friends with the vocalist. He liked to name-drop a lot though so I'm sure what "friend" means in this case...

Anyway, never really been able to get into them.

If I may pipe up:
Yeah, they are really awesome! I love that the music has heavy hardcore influences (double kick, fast guitar licks) yet the vocals are fairly normal and not screeching/screaming too much!

I will definitely check out their new cd after they come out with it!

And yeah, the vocals are freakishly high! Makes it impossible to sing along in the car!

As far as I know, under the name of Secret & Whisper, Great White Whale is all they have out right now. I think they are writing stuff (possibly even recording...I'm not 100% sure). Haha, yeah, I don't know how he does it! But he has a pretty good voice otherwise (there's an acoustic video of him playing guitar and singing on their myspace).

You should be able to find their previous albums under the name "Stutterfly." As I understand it, the new stuff under the name "Secret & Whisper" doesn't have screaming, whereas Stutterfly had lots of screaming. I could be wrong, I've avoided listening to them since their major label release as Stutterfly. That was a very disappointing album for me.

Well yeah, as stated above they changed singers (which IMO, might as well be a completely new band). So I think they went a different direction with the band. You should at least listen to some of their stuff on their myspace page. Don't know if you'll like it, but its worth a shot!
