School of Rock is pretty funny and great when it shows all kinds of Rock bands. Jack Black is a genius. I don't have it under my movie list because I didn't see the whole movie yet. I've probably seen at least 2/3 of it, but I plan on seeing the whole thing.

Made another run yesterday, back to the drill rig Paul Ramono to bring more cargo from the rig to port. They are getting ready to move location and drill another well. The Paul Ramono is in 5,000 feet of water anchored to the bottom by 18 very large anchors. This morning 4 anchor handling boats and several tug boats will be on location to pull anchors and then tow the rig to its next location. On a personel note--my 19 year old son is talking about getting maried in a few months. The wife and I are praying that they'll wait.

Loaded up for another run--back to the Paul Romano. Once they get to their new location they will be needing alot of equipment. Had a good session on my guitar today. When I take my son to Houston to get his guitar I am going to by Cakewalk. I'm looking forword messing around with that. Of course my kids had no school today--I went on msn messenger and played a few games with Ivan (12 yr old son) which was cool except he beat me in every game we played. We were playing checkers and it looked like I was going to smoke him so I sorta just messed around for a few moves so he wouldn't feel to bad cause I beat him so quick and next thing I knew the game was over and I did not win.

Yea, went back to the Paul Romano, they were just pulling anchors while we were there. We brought them the tools that they will need shen they get to their new location. We got back right at midnight last night and had two crewmen crew change. Both of our engine room crew went home and were replaced by two more. When we crew change next Wed. I will be one of the crewmen going home--can't wait!! Talked to my kids before they caught the bus for school, they are excited to have just a half a day today and it's their last day. Winters (11 yr old daughter) teacher sent her home with one of the class fish--a gold fish. She was excited--we now have 2 cats, 1 dog, and 1 fish. That's enough!!

My dog ate the screen for the kitchen window. I think she's just not getting enough attention in the back yard -- when I get home I am going to buy one of those electronic fences so she can have the run of our property and have more contact with us. I left my car with my wife and drove hers to work this month and mine is acting up--when I get home I will be trying to replace it with a truck. I will have a very busy time when I'm home. I should be home by mid-day Thu. -- I am looking forward to that.

You're so lucky you're getting a better fence for your dog. Our dog always gets out of the backyard through it and into the neighborhood. My dad keeps getting it fixed so he doesn't escape.

4 weeks ago on my way to work I blew the engine-sort of I guess. I needed a new head gasket and and work on two cylinders. The work was not able to be completed before I headed back to the boat so I left it with my wife. Now it is not running right. The shop is coming to pick it up today. I hope it is simple. At any right, we have wanted a truck for some time, so we will probably just cut our losses with the car and see if we can get a truck. Work has been a little bussier, which is good because time goes faster. 4 more days and I will be home.

the first thing i that comes to mind is a possable blowen head gasket but i am prabuly wrong. our dad had a 92 ford explorer that blew a head gasket and we ended up getting rid of it because the repair cost was higher then the value of the vehicle. i don't know how much it would cost to have a blown head gasket repaired (if that is the problem) but the Kelley blue book value for a car like yours (in good condition) is $5,400 to $6,500. your don't have any steam or a sweet smell coming from the exhuast right?

P.S. i know quite a bit about cars but i don't know that much about the ford taurus .

The shop came and picked the car up. Turned out to be something simple which they fixed for free as they have recently done some work on the car. It has 100,000 miles on it and we will be getting rid of it soon and getting a truck. TWO MORE DAYS AND I WILL BE HOME. Can't wait to see the wife and kids. Work has been steady. I hope we go on a run today. It will increase my chances of being at the dock for crew change.

I AM HOME!!!!!!!! Got off the boat last night at 0100 in Fourchon La. and arrived home in Lake Jackson Tx. at 0900. Traffic was lite until I got to Houston wich was pretty backed up as it was right at 0800 and there were several accidents in the 610 area. Sure was good to see my wife. The kids are at vacation Bible school so I have not seen them yet. They will be home around noon. I mapquested directions to guitar center and will be taking my son Ivan to get his first guitar tomorrow. It will be an accoustic but I will let him decide on the model so I will post tomorrow as to what he ends up with.

That's great that you're home! How long do you get to be home?

I bet you can't wait to see your kids...and that'll be awesome for Ivan to get a guitar! How old is he?
