World Percussion

Who else here enjoys world percussion? That is, djembe, conga, bongo, shaker, etc.?

I have been playing djembe for my campus ministry worship team for the past two years. I feel that my guitar experience helped in that I can easily match the rythmn to the downbeats in the strumming pattern. In other words, I know how I would play guitar on that song, and how it would sound cool with a djembe complimenting it, and then play it.

I'm trained in the most common percussion in a Latin rhythm section, Cuban, Mexican, Brazilian, or whathaveyou.
