| Upcoming Anberlin album ...will be titled "New Surrender" and this is what is known about it so far (and some stuff that really has nothing to do with the album):
- There are some "Guitar Hero" ready songs on the album with massive guitar parts.
- There is an epic closer, like Fin on Cities.
- They are going to India in December.
- They are playing new stuff on Warped.
- Anberlin wants to tour badly with Brand New.
- Anberlin is pushing for one of their songs to be on Rock Band.
- There are songs on the record that sound like Paperthin Hymn.
- The record has lots of diverse instruments
- They combined a couple of songs that sounded alike into one mega song
- stephens laptop did really get stolen but he had most of the stuff written down in a journal.
-nate is starting an art company

| Sounds good to me.
I still need to get the last two albums. I only have Blueprints For The Black Market.

| I'd highly suggest Never Take Friendship Personal. Cities is also good, but in my opinion, not as amazing as NTFP.

| Mind pointing to the update/news that you got all this info from?

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

| I'm a little skeptical of the fact that its coming out only about 1 year after cities... here's hoping its as good as their other albums.
What do you mean when you say Guitar Hero ready songs? I know I'd love to play Anberlin on Guitar Hero or Rock Band!
Wikipedia tells me the release date is August.

| It was on their forums posted by the admin "reid."
For dtaylor, I think what they mean by "Guitar Hero ready songs" is that the songs just have amazing guitar work and they are trying to get a song in Rock Band. I also am skeptical of it only coming out a year after Cities. But I hope it's amazing.

| The album comes out tomorrow! Except I'll be at school all day and might not have a chance to get to any cd stores before they close...

Activision has contracts with Universal records and other major labels to provide master tracks to be used in the game. I didn't see Anberlin on the list, but they could very well be in there any way. (the list said "and many more") |

| I got it on Friday... have listened many times and am loving it. IMO, better than Cities and gives NTFP a run for its money. I like the old Feel Good Drag a little better though.

The new one doesn't feel right tempo wise either... I need to listen to the old version again, but the new one feels like it's a couple clicks faster, making it feel like it's a bit rushed.
Wow, I totally over analyzed that. I haven't heard anything else off the new one, though. Might check it out. |
