Smile Singapore Math

Does anyone out there use singapore math? I have only met one person in my life that does. It has got to be the hardest stuff i have ever done. I mean, I started doing hard algebra word problems that my dad (who is very smart) has a hard time with in 7th grade. I am homeschooled, so i dont know........mabye 7th graders do hard algebra word problems in public school.................but all my public schooled friends say that it sound very advanced. I am doing 8th grade now, and it is pretty hard. If you have any pointers or if you do Singipore math, this is the place to post.

Saxon is a ridiculously difficult and advanced math curriculum in terms of problem sets and knowledge requirements and breadth of skills employed, it's just that it's taught and arranged so well that it makes it seem easy.

Word problems shouldn't be difficult. The problem is more likely that you haven't been properly prepared for algebra yet. Most algebra word problems are simply about solving a system of two equations. It should be easy.

Seems like there was probably an easier way to solve the problem that you must have missed.

I did. I just graduated from my master's program in college, though, so it's been awhile.
