Losing my voice

I've been losing my voice off and on lately. When I feel better, I'll practice softly and attend chior practice, but then I lose my voice again. I've been drinking hot liquids and using cough drops and such, but nothing is brining my voice back to normal. I have a huge concert coming up and I'm singing a solo with the church chior singing as my back up. Is there anything I can do to help my voice come back to normal quickly?

Is it because your sick? Or because you strained your voice? The best I think you could do is rest your vocal chords very little talking etc. Sometimes rest is the best medicine.

Don't push yourself. You can do more damage then good by sining when you are sick or have no voice. I learned this one the hard way and regret it almost daily.
Make sure you are using proper technique. Singing incorrectly can cause you to lose your voice. Rest your voice and if it keeps up, get it checked out by a doctor.
Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.
Let the Amen sound from His people again,
Gladly for aye we adore Him.

Rest, don't talk or sing more than you have to, drink plenty of fluids and avoid mentholated cough drops.
