Changing Jobs

I have been doing the same thing for 27 years as an occupation. Recently with the economic situations happening around my city business has gotten very slow. I have been considering selling some property that I own and going back to school to learn more about building websites and Internet marketing. I am a cabinet maker by trade; this would be a huge switch. There are only two things I am really passionate about, building websites and Christian music. Is it too late at age 47 to become a professional in the arena of contemporary music? My outlook on things is that if God decides to blow his spirit into a particular song any artist can be propelled into great things.

I know this is a rather old thread, but it struck a chord with me. I'm currently back in school, after working 29 years in the printing industry. My former job went south of the border, causing me to look for other avenues of employment. I'm studying electronics and computer networking, A+, and communications.

I agree with you Jordy, if God is involved, anything can happen. So many people like to say something like, "If God's behind this venture, then we can't fail!" I like to reverse that a bit; "If God's leading us in this venture, we can't fail!" Make sure you are following His leading, and keep praying for His guidence.

Also, know you aren't alone in facing new challenges, I'm right there with ya dude.
