Have you by chance heard the A Day to Remember song where Mike does guests? Now I would prefer it if ADTR was a straight up metal band, but I can't deny their vox has some serious pipes.
And he completely makes Mike sound horrible. I realize Mike is doing highs and Jeremy is doing lows, but whatever. That guy is a beast. Mike is okay.
End rant. Excuse me. |

| I think Mike is a brute as well, in fact I think he is far more beastly than the guy from ADTR (in my own opinion, the worst of those kind of bands out there). His vocals aren't as neat and tidy, and maybe they don't sound as big, but that doesn't mean they are less brutal. They are rough and rigid, probably not the orthodox way of screaming, he just gives it his all and you can see that when they play (or hear that) and that is what I think makes him one of the top several contenders in terms of brutality.
Of course, I am way less 'experienced' in this genre as you guys, so I'm sure you know what you're talking about a lot more than I do.

| Mike only has one decent thing about his scream, and that is the low growling stuff. The high stuff is too damn sloppy, the mid-range stuff has no beef to it, but his lows are okay. |

| Well I tend to love sloppy vocals and or music, so thats probably why I defend him.

| I've never been into TDWP until their latest album, but now I'm really into them. Definitely not the best Christian metalcore, but still great. I'm excited about their new EP coming out in August, it should be excellent! |

| I enjoy TDWP songs every now and then, and they do put out some great music. But personally, I could listen to AILD, BtA, and WoA all day. |

| look tdwp will ALWAYS be better than atdr because they are straight metalcore they dont switch around from metal to rock and to alternative and the ONLY time that they had sloppy vocals was when they first came out with dear love a beutiful dischord |

| I like metal and screamo, but I prefer to be able to understand what they're saying without having to look up the lyrics... Just wondering, can anyone here understand TDWP's lyrics without looking them up? Don't get me wrong, I think they're a great band, with good lyrics and music, but I prefer Underoath and Becoming The Archetype, because I can understand what they're saying easier... |
