| Honestly, I'm of the opposite.
The screaming is dull. His medium pitch scream is horrid. When he goes lower, it's good, but otherwise, it is very very boring.
The cleans sound more nasal and whiney than normal. The lyrics are lame. Every single song could have easily fit on either of the two previous albums. A shame, I thought "Plagues" showed a lot of potential and I really enjoyed it..

| I absolutely agree about the lower parts, but his high pitched stuff was just totally incomprehensible to me on the last two cds. His voice also sounds a bit weak...pretty sure they recorded immediately after a tour, too. Hmm. |

| Picky picky, guys.
I like sloppy vocals, probably because the main music I listen to is punk and real hardcore, but I actually prefer the vocals of these guys (the screaming) to a lot of other neat and tidy bands.
My brother has the new album, but I havn't given it a good listen yet.

| In case nobody realized what my previous post meant, the singing on Roots Above reminded me a lot of Aaron Gillespie.

| All the clean vocals from these guys remind me a lot of Aaron Gillepsie.

| Some of them reminded me a bit like Jared Leto. Not too much, but a little. Most of the time he prob sounds like Aaron.

| I've never found these guys really all that exciting. To me just your standard chug-chug-chug-to-high-pitched-dischordant-minor-second screamo band. I meant it sounds pretty sweet but it's way way overused in this genre.
If you think I'm overreacting... well I was messing around, and decided to play a random drop d riff and as soon as I let that classic high minor second ring this guy I know was like, "oh hey I recognize that. Devil wear prada right? Or Is it underoath, I can't remember". It was completely random and made up on the spot.

I for one don't think this way at all. I think TDWP has the best song structure, and lyrics of any metalcore/deathcore band out there.
plus, their live show is amazing.

| I agree to an extent with crazymoose, except that Underoath's riffs and The Devil Wears Prada's riffs are not alike at all. Underoath is far more interesting and they don't have the constant open power chord breakdowns.
