The Merchant of Venice

I just read this play for the first time. It's one of the few of Shakespeare's comedies I've enjoyed, and I enjoyed it a lot. Usually it's a chore for me to read Shakespeare, and I have to force myself to make progress, but I went through this one pretty quickly. Shylock is one of the most menacing villains in all of Shakespeare.

Anyone else have opinions on this play?

This is a pretty complex play, I thought. I remember when taking a Shakespeare class on his comedies, about three weeks of the class was spent here. I was surprised at all it's levels.
