Wisconsin guitarist wants to form coffee house duo/band

Hey ... looking for one or two of the right folks who want to make some music here in the Milwaukee, Wis. area. Bass, another guitarist ... I'd like to connect with anyone interested in working together some music for a coffee shop environment -- want to periodically be flesh out a duo or trio a few other musicians for outdoor festivals and outdoor gigs. Really not interested playing in bars late at night or being in that whole scene.

If you've got strong vocals, this could be your opportunity to be the front man/woman ... as a matter of fact someone in a duo with me will almost CERTAINLY be that frontman/woman. I sing only under protest.

I play mostly music that would bve considered secular in nature, but want to start working more quality and timeless "sacred? music ... Morning has Broken, Amazing Grace, Loves Me Like a Rock ... stuff like that. But I think that jump/swing blues and the immortal bards Bob Dylan and Paul Simon can be mixed in with this more estoteric material pretty easily .... I also write original instrumental music.

Strong character is more important than musicianship as far as I am concerned, because I am willing to work through material with someone repeatedly, but am not willing to surround myself or my family with negative influences. But some rudimentary chops are important. I consider myself an advanced blues musician with an appreciation for bigger, more interesting chord forms and modal, melodic soloing. If you're interested, we can talk about potential set lists and listen to some clips of each other to make sure that you aren't disappointed with my level of proficiency or anything like that.

Want to play out once a month at most ... job, family, etc. are imortant too. Right?
