| Is This Band Christian? I saw a post yesterday that mentioned All That Remains in it, and I was wondering if they were a christian band. Thanks.

| That depends on how you define what is a "Christian" band.
I don't see anything on their website or Myspace that would lead me to believe that they have relationships with God. |

| They're not Christian, per se, but there's nothing exceptionally bad in there stuff. They say damn on Six though.

| The lyrics are almost all quite positive, and one could certainly interpret "Not Alone" to be about God. Quite clean lyrics, which should be the only thing that matters.
The vocalist, Phil Labonte, claims to be a Christian. But I'm pretty sure the other members don't.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

| Clean lyrics are definitely not the only thing you should be concerned about. I have started to read into the lyrics of some of the metal bands I am thinking of starting to listen to, only to find highly blasphemous language, full of demonic messages, and anti-Christian in general, but the whole time, the lyrics are fairly clean, absolutely no swearing.

| I've always lumped them in with Killswitch Engage. A band that has a lead singer that is a Christian, but does not make the whole band Christian. |

Yeah, same here. I have heard that KSE has several members that are Christians, but I don't know for certain. Well, as far as ATR and KSE are concerned, I would rather have the lead singer/vocalist be a Christian than, say, the Rhythm guitarist as a Christian since the vocalist is the one sending the message lyrically and in the minds of fans, represents where the band as a whole stands.

| Exactly. Their lyricist is a Christian, I don't think it's near as bad to listen to a band with a non-Christian drummer, say, than one with a non-Christian singer.

| The lead singer's behaviour at shows is rather disgusting at times. I recall at one of their shows him using the f-word several times as well as taking God's name in vain. If he's really a Christian, he sure doesn't like to show it. |

Hmm, that does sound dissappointing, maybe he is feeling the pressure from the Secular industry.. .
That's a tough call

If you realize it is just one man spewing whatever he thought sounded good with the song.... |

| I didn't say it was "bad", I happen to listen to just about every kind of rock and roll there is, Christian or secular.
I was speaking to the views of nick_treiberg.
