Why did this have to happen a week before I see them live?

What the heck? Newsboys, Kutless, Disciple, now 3D. I can't believe it.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Maybe all the people that have left from those bands are getting together?

For Brad, I think it has to do with his four(?) daughters, especially the little one they adopted from China last year. I think he's tired of being on the road.

yeh, it was mentioned in several articles that he is going on to do some solo projects. This is one of the saddest things to happen to the christian music market in a long time.

So is Mark Lee going to do all their solos now instead of just some of them or are they getting a new guitarist?

Is Mac going to do them? He used to play guitar a good bit more than he does now.

I'm going to a Third Day concert Saturday, I'll let you know how it goes....without Brad

They have been quoted in articles saying that they will "remain a quartet". So I assume mark will play the solos.

I went to see 3D last night. Absolutely horrible, it didn't sound like 3d. Brad was a very big part of there sound obviously. Yes Mark Lee is TRYING to do some of the solos, but fails miserably. No offense to him, but he isn't Brad and anything less just isn't 3D

I wouldn't say "failed miserably", but the difference was obvious. I'm also convinced that's why they didn't play Blackbird or Consuming Fire.

The main difference now is that Mac plays guitar A LOT more than he ever did.

You know, for a long time Brad wasn't in the band and they did just fine...sort of. Though according to Brad, they had no sense of tuning. But they recorded a whole EP without him.
