I agree about Consuming Fire...that's like the Newsboys not playing "Shine" or Jars of Clay not playing "Flood" or Showbread not playing "Mouth Like A Magazine" or...you get the point.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Saw them last night at cedarville. They were great. but who ever was running the sound-board really screwed up. The bass and drums were so loud you couldn't here anything else.

I'm sorry to all about my previous comments. Alot of it is frustration. Like many others I heard about the split after I had purchased tickets. After going to the concert I really wish I could have gotten my money back.

One other thing. Brad proves you don't need a $3000 dollar Gibson to sound good.

Mark did a pretty good job with the solos that he did, especially for "tunnel."

What was ironic was that in an interview (a while back, when both Mark and Brad were Epi players) with Tai, Tai was talking about how it was cool that both guitarists where using Epiphones because they had a good sound, and the fans could go home from a concert and buy one. Not long after that, Mark started using PRS's that cost thousands of dollars had he not endorsed them, and then Brad left. Then Mac started playing Taylor, and well, Third Day's guitars are no longer accessible.
