| FoF .rar files hey guys. how do you extract a .rar file to install a mod on Frets On Fire? i cant figure it out. i dont know if i have WinRar, and im not allowed to download anything w/o my dads permission. any help would be appreciated immensely.

#2 | | Algebraic! | I'm pretty sure you need WinRar or some other software to extract the file. I don't think that there's anything built into Windows that will do it. |

| I have a program called Rarzilla which takes care of all my .rar file needs. It's free and hides itself from the start menu, you just right click the file.

| well, i ended up getting zipgenius, and it works amazingly well for free software, but now i dont know how to get the mods to work, which is a completely different topic. if anyone can help with that please do.

| some of the mods clearly state they are for version 1.2.xxx (which is the version i have) but i think i am missing something in the installation process. im not quite sure what to do, as i am new to mods for FoF. i would appreciate any help and insight on how to install mods if anyone on CGR knows how.

| alright, well this thread is officially closed. After some help on the FoF fan forum, I downloaded a slightly older version with less bugs. I use Zipgenius (thank you so much to whoever said that!) for .rar and .zip file extractions. Almost all the mods work now. So say goodbye to this thread and thank you for all the help guys!
