Firstly, welcome to CGR!

Secondly, sign up for Flickr! You'll seriously be glad you did, and a ton of us CGR photographers already have Flickr accounts.

With the photography itself, I will say that you have a great eye for things. There are some pictures that are probably more like snapshots than art photography, but there are a lot of other shots that really look promising in terms of composition and interest. I'd say that you have great potential in your work. You have a good eye.

As far as your camera, I have used one of those myself, and my personal opinion is that it is a great point and shoot, and the manual features on that are quite usable in comparison to most other compact point-and-shoots. In fact, I'd use a camera like that often when I didn't want to lug around anything bigger, but just slip it into my pocket.
