| Cheers man. I mean, it's not super hard or anything, just takes a long time. But you don't have to do what I did and spend all your time on it. You can break it up. |

| Well the laptop is well and truly stuffed Well, not exactly, it's just the screen. See, it dropped, and landed on the part where the screen connects to the base. There's still SOME kind of connection, but the picture is screwed up.
HOWEVER. Given my hax0rness lately (well, I've only really "hax0red" a power connection for the PS3 controller recharger), I decided to get the screen to work again.
If you were to see what I did to get it to work, you wouldn't believe it was doing anything, but believe me it is! All it is is a piece of string wrapped around the screen, and a bulldog clip up the top. That is all that is allowing me to read what I'm typing right now. And it's FREAKING AWESOME! Haha. |

| Here's a shot of just how cheap this hack is :
And here's a shot of the hack I did with that power connector:
See those two pieces on the right? They used to be one piece (cut it in half) to make that "nut" in the middle. The top of that former one-piece connector is on the left, and I pushed that through a plastic juice lid, so it gives something to screw into to hold it in place. So the part that I cut off (that "nut" in the middle) just screws onto the back of the juice-lid/connector, just like a nut! I'll take more pictures when I actually start to put the thing together.
As I mentioned on the comments in my other blog, I actually shot myself in the foot already because I was designing it for the Sixaxis, and not the DualShock3. See, the Sixaxis only draws 3.7V at 30mA, where as the Dualshock draws 3.7V at 300mA. So that means instead of drawing only 120mA total in my design, it's going to be sucking up 1.2A! And my power supply is only rated up to 1A. So I need to look for a new power supply. Luckily I had already been considering this as I wanted to put LEDs on the side that let you know when the charging has stopped, so I'll look for something in the 7.5V at 2A range.
Here's the basic design I have for the actual structure of the thing:
Oh, and just incase people missed my latest video on the last page, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skzxOYs1V6M

| AH! Wonderful!
I love this!
I love how you "fixed" your laptop...it took me a little bit to figure out what the first picture is though. |

| My nose has been out of joint because you have taken over my category. You give me too much competition in the F section. But now, I have you figured out and I welcome it. I'm so glad to have you here.

| I was wondering if you'd be willing to do a recording of spoken lyrics for a Maori piece for choir. my director is not entirely sure how to pronounce stuff, and when I mentioned I have a friend who is Maori she jumped all over it and asked if you would be willing to record yourself speaking the words so she can be clear on how things are said.
please let me know, and if you can I will send the lyrics your way. you might actually already know them, since apparently it's a really famous lullabye..? |

I probably don't already know it, though I don't know a lot of waiata, and plus I don't really speak it (can pronounce it, just don't speak it). But yeah, I'll do my best. Quote:
