No idea. I'm still trying to figure out how to play it.

If it helps, the basic chord progression is this:
verse
Bb C Dm X a few
chorus
Bb C Dm F Gm Dm X a few
they do some off chord instead of the Gm in one or more of the choruses.
and the solo is really easy to play and I think the backup chords are just the chorus, idk, I'd have to listen to it again to make sure.
There's also another guitar that plays some lead fills in the song which are actually really cool.

and the notes for the beginning "riff" are these:
C C D~ C C D~ A A D D D (~ means trill)
I usually play an octave and just vibrate one of the strings on the D, then play the full D5 after the A's. I'm pretty sure it's in drop D.

I think maybe you could use an ac30 to get this sound?

From what I understand, didn't they have another guy (a producer, perhaps?) come in and play the main riff for "Turn on the Lights"? I want to say his name is Peter York, but I am not positive. I know they mentioned it in an interview, though.

I'm not sure what amp they used, but I'd say something that'll give you a classic rock/blues sound should sound great.

I'm pretty sure he is the president of Sparrow Records. Either that or he was the founder. Something like that.

Yes, that sounds right. Anyway, it's him playing the riff on that song.

that's cool I guess, doesn't make sence why one of the band memebers didn't just play it. Maybe he wanted to say he did something to contribute to the record or something

Or maybe he made it up and the band let him do it as a cameo sort of thing.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.
