| Back in high school, I thought God told me who I was going to marry, and I believed it completely. I graduated college recently, and would you like to know where that girl is now? That's a good question, cause I don't know either.
What's so wrong with casual dating? Ok, granted, at 14, you probably shouldn't be since most aren't mature enough to be able to handle that at that age (though I will say that you are definitely one of the more mature 14 year olds I've ever seen on this forum, but the girl you date might not). But dating is an integral part in getting to actually know a person. I'm not saying people should have a serious relationship with someone every week. I just don't see what's so wrong about going out for coffee with a person. The more we think a casual date is somehow a wedding proposal, or that we're somehow cheating on our future spouse, the less likely we're going to actually get to know people who could actually be a very suitable spouse. |
