#1 | | Red Sox Rocker | Firefly TV Series Okay, so apparently there's a two to three year-old thread about Serenity floating around, I figured it wasn't supposed to be necromanced. So I'll start this one. For those of you who haven't run into this (IMO) oh-so-excellent TV series, it's essentially a science-fiction western. I love it, especially because of the characters.
Anyone else around here seen much of the series? I've seen the first five episodes, have yet to see more.

| I love it. I've started watching it again this past week. Such a good show. I really love how authentic it feels. |

| I have seen most of them. I was disappointed that it was so short. I love it. Unfortunately, they don't rerun it enough in my area. |

In case anyone's interested, I found a Firefly novel written by some guy online, I've read it, and it's pretty good. It more or less reads like a complete episode. I've only seen a few episodes, so I'm unsure about when it's set. But I liked it.

I actually prefer that people do that since I'm still subscribed to those old threads. Generally in music and movie forums MODs don't mind resurrections as long as you don't post something like "FIRFLY ROX!!1Q! LOL!!! RIVER WAS SO WIERD!!"
However since you're talking about the series instead of the movie, a different thread is a good idea. Quote:

#9 | | Crushy McSternum | Just buy the DVDs. You can get them for a verra good price. Half.com usually has it for anything between $20-$40, if you trust such sources.
It's an outrageously good show.

| I saw the first four episodes or so. It took me two episodes to realize that Kaylee or whatever is Becca from the old Disney Channel show Flash Forward.
It was pretty cool I thought. Better than the average sci-fi show.

*makes a mental note to have a look at the Disney Channel show...*

#12 | | ♥ Mrs. Skeeter ♥ | I love Firefly. Daniel and I have it on DVD. Every time I see one of the actors in another show or movie I always call them by their Firefly character names. "Hey! Mal is on Desperate Housewives!" "Wash is totally the pirate in Dodgeball!" Even if I saw the show or movie before I saw Firefly, I never really cared about those actors until after.

#14 | | Red Sox Rocker | Ah, so I've seen up through The Message now, which was the episode I got introduced to Firefly on. Very nice. Love this series. And let's just say..."Trash" was rather awkward.

| I love Firefly (and Serenity)! Joss Whedon is a genius. The cast was great. Too bad it was canceled, Fox just doesn't know when it has a good thing
Side Note: Summer Glau (plays River Tam) is the new Terminator in the new tv show Sarah Connor Chronicles. I thought that it was kind of cool seeing her again as a Terminator. |
