This site is easily the best website I have ever been on, or been a part of. I am honored to have been a part of it as long as I have.
Winning this still has me somewhat dumbfounded. I am extremely surprised, and very grateful.
Thank you so much. |

| *The rules state that you must post in the ENTIRE forum
*Whenever I checked this thread it was always count at '3' responses so had no idea this was the forum to use - (I posted about 3 times here) - but follow the rule and used the entire forum
*Did 'el cabong' use the entire forum 'for the contest'?
*I got an infraction against him "inappropriate language' for post about putting CGR on the map - that one still baffles me and really turned me off a bit - because I have never been about that
*I need a clear explanation of how he became the winner
Thanks,
Guitar4God

Thanks,
Guitar4God | Of course Tim posted. I highly doubt it was for the contest so much as being a part of the community here.
You used the phrase watch yourself in a hostile manner which was construed by several people as threatening.
He won because a post in his blog was the post number Paul had pre-selected. His winning post was in his blog.

Thanks,
Guitar4God | You were posting in all the right places, you just didn't have the winning post. El Cabong also posts all over the site, and was fortunate enough win the prize. |

| hah, interesting, it seems like some people are just now receiving an email about the contest, myself included. Reading over some of the posts I see that foo, it was already over. But it was worth the click on the link anyway Good gravy it has been a looong time since I last visited! Hah, my profile still lists me as college student. Yeah, I've been done with that for more than 5 years now

Thanks,
Guitar4God | yes, tim did win legitimately. i chose that post number before the contest started. he does post all over the forum and it was probably not b/c of the contest b/c he is a very active member of our community...just look at his post count.
it seems that there may be a misunderstanding here. i read your thread about "putting CGR on the map", and i personally didnt take offense to it, however i can see how people would have...especially when people with 10-30 times as many posts have put CGR on the map and made it what it is today. what i am saying is i see both sides. of course links are appreciated, but the best way to let people know that CGR is a great place to hang out is by hanging out here and contributing to the ongoing conversation that is CGR and sharing our resources w/ those that need them.
on a brighter note...due to the overwhelming response to this contest, we will have more contests in the future...tim...please pm me and let me know how you would like to claim your prize.
