what to hard
ok my teacher is was going on about math blah blah for persents of numbers like 30% of 80 but cant you just do 30 times 80? it seems easier that way

30% of 80 = 0.30 x 80

Yes, multiplying a number by the decimal equivilent of the percentage works all the time--provided you do the math right.

% = per 100.

So, 30% = 30/100 = .30

80 * 30% = 80 * (30/100) = 80 * .30
= 24
Take your pick. They're all the same.
