Christian Music similar to LP

I love Linkin Park, and as we all know they started swearing, I am looking for a band like them. I like Linkin Park, if they screamed a little more that would be better, know any bands that are Linkin Park, but Christian and scream a bit more, not the whole song, but not too little either.

Disciple, maybe, but not so much. Project 86 and 38th Parallel will come closer I think.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Maybe. There's no rapping, just so the thread starter knows, and End of Silence isn't as good as either of LP's first two albums. (in my opinion of course)

Project 86's first two albums are have lots of rapping in them, and Drawing Black Lines is awesome.

Pillar - Their first album leans more toward reggae, but Fireproof is quite similar to LP. Fair amount of screaming as well.

Also try Thousand Foot Krutch's first album (no screaming though, except in one bonus track)

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

I'd say 38th Parallel is probably your best bet, though they don't scream much(if at all) and not everything on their CD Turn The Tides sounds like Linkin Park.

Pillar's Fireproof isn't a bad option either.

I totally forgot about Fireproof. I second. It has an equal amount of industrial, rap, rock, hard rock, screaming, etc that LP does.

K, One question, for Pillar, it seems like, their first one is more rap then Fireproof. And as far as listening to see if I like them, where can I do that?

To answer your first question, their first album is much more reggae than rap. I haven't heard all of it more than once or twice, but that's a good description I believe.

As for listening to them, you could go on iTunes or into most big stores (like Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer, etc.) and hear short samples.

Search for some videos on Youtube as well, it's very likely that you'll enjoy most of the songs on that album if you like the title track.

The option that will ensure you like it is something like the updated Napster. You can try their service for 7 days free, and download everything you want. However, you can't burn it to CD or put it on an mp3 player. (that last part I'm not sure about). After the 7 days, it's $10 a month.

Also: you could always get the edited version of Minutes to Midnight on iTunes. but I hated it, and I say that as one of the many who used to be obsessed fanboys.

Betty Rocket Records had a good deal of music very similar to LP. Like David is an excellent example. Check out their album It Started With 12, if you can find it.

You cannot forget about P.O.D.! Their vocals can vary from rap to reggae to screaming. Check out their new song "When Angels & Serpents Dance", although it doesn't have rap, it's still very awesome! They even have other songs from them on their website http://www.payableondeath.com/

Why does Linkin Park swearing disqualify them from being a band you'll continue to listen to? Doesn't it seem odd that you would allow their secular worldview to wash over you up until the point they say a profanity? Their music didn't start being unharmonious with a Christian worldview the first time they said "****" in an interview or song.

Why does THAT fact disqualify his choice to find a Christian alternative?

Oh wait, it doesn't.
