The very will I proudly claimed, was the very axe that cut the nape.

So, a journal or a blog. . . where to begin?

I guess with today

Today is/was nice. No school, no work, Just a fun day of playing disc golf with my wife and my cousins, eating at one of the greatest fast food restraunts on the planet (that would be Chipotle in case you're deprived) and chilling at the house waiting for the giant ball to drop in Times Square.

I used to belong to a message board called Dot35, it was a fantastic place to catch up with some awesome people. Now for some odd reason it has been offline.

404'ed if you will.

Hopefully this place can fill the void of it's absence.

I have some pretty awesome cousins that frequent this community, you may know them as sunsurfer, hirokrchik, and chicka218. I plan on using the boards to keep in touch with them, and maybe to enlighten some of you to the boring chaos that is my life. Thank God that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ to hold it all together!!

Later

Welcome! I'm Joshua...

And yes...Aleesha. We're acquaintances here. Of course, some would call us arch rival/enemies/etc, but I'll be more polite than that. I hope you enjoy you're time here on CGR. It's a great site.

Are you sure? What, exactly, are we? I can't think of a term that really cuts it.

Hi Chris. I specifically ordered a big brother, but I guess you'll do. Do we have the same last name? I remember seeing you at the reunion and I know so very little about you that at the time I had to refer to you as "the guy in the orange shirt". Not fair!

I guess the order got mixed up Aleesha. I do however have much big brother experience. With 4 younger siblings, 2 brothers, one sister, and one step-sister, I will do my best.

Orange shirt guy. . . hmmm, I guess that's better than some alternatives.

Oh well, next time maybe I'll have a name.

Now...... to the blogging.

Today was a great day, other than my wife being sick. We got up early I did some laundry, I checked on some textbooks I am selling on ebay, checked my PM's (yay, I got one, thanks Ali) And Tracy entered the office with a statement that filled me with pride. . .

"Can I wear one of your Michigan shirts today?" ABSOLUTELY YOU MAY!!!! GO BLUE!!!

So, we get decked out in our Michigan apparel and head over to our friends house (A Gator Fan) to watch the Capital One Bowl between Michigan and Florida.

In case you live under a rock MICHIGAN PULLED THE UPSET!! Beating Florida by 6 points. What a wonderful wonderful day!
So let's check the record
Michigan 2
Florida 0

Sorry Gators

Unfortunately Hawaii is getting their butts handed to them by Georgia. (Sorry Moki)

Anyway, we go home, and Lily (that's my dog) and I go for a run. She did a great job, keeping up with me for about 1-1/2 miles, then I dropped her off at the house and finished another half a mile. It feels good to be running again. I missed it. Maybe I'll run in the 5k this April.

Well, tomorrow it's back to work. It's going to be 32 degrees here in the morning, so that should be fun! No teaching until next monday, but my mom is coming down from Michigan to visit with us this weekend. . . and college resumes tuesday. . . GRRRR winter break was nice, but life only slows down for so long. . . .

Happy New Year everyone.
Godspeed

1. Ohh, does she have a cold or something?

2. Yea, I saw Michigan won that game today. It was a really close game from what I saw. Personally, I was rooting for neither side. I am not particularly a fan of football.

3. Wow, I don't really picture Lily as the running kind of dog. That seems like a long distance for her.

4. You know, the reason it is getting cold down there is so I will be able to acclimate to the weather easier. You know, so my system doesn't have a shock.

Well, take care. I will be praying for Tracy to get better.

HI! (finally) My computer was trying to keep me off this site! FOR TWO DAYS! Oh well, I'm here now.

Dad was really happy to see Michigan win. He says that we should move to CA so that MI will be in the Rose Bowl. (When we moved to FL, they got in the Capital One Bowl...)

I can't believe that Hawa'ii lost! You know they've been undefeated for like...ever?! Don't worry though, the hawaiian in me says to go into fire dancing...not football...

That's sweet that your going to try and do the 5k! How many miles is that? I want to do something like that...except sitting...on a comfortable seat...on wheels...OKAY! SO I WANT TO DO IT ON A BIKE! SO WHAT?!

ARE YOU CRAZY? 32 degrees??? Fun?! I really REALLY strongly dislike the cold! This morning at ten my mom was yelling at me (while she was playing the PS2) to get out of bed...IT WAS SO COLD IN MY ROOM! I didn't get out of bed till eleven (I always win ) but I got dressed in my warmest clothes faster than she could take poptarts out off their package!

I have to go back to school tomorrow...no fun...I have to do a lot today...again - NO FUN!

BTW...DISC GOLF WAS SWEET! Can't wait to do it again!

Tray, YOUR IN MY PRAYERS!

Yeah, she's come down with a turribul cough. Thanks for the prayers, she's still yucky. I'm worried that I'm getting it now.

Oh but she is quite the runner!! She LOVES to run! When she's in good shape she does 2 miles with me no problem! (She did stellar today at 1-1/2)

Don't you be moving anywhere but near here. Michigan comes to Florida once every few years well enough on their own (after all there are 5 or 6 different bowl games played in Florida)

To say that Hawaii lost is the understatement of the year. They got schooled. I think Georgia is going to jail for the beating they gave Hawaii.

You know they come to Gainesville for the first game of next season right?

It's about 3.1 miles, I ran one two years ago and did really well. You should try it!! The one I did was a walk or run, Tracy did it!! She walked it was fun!!

You walked WAY farther than that on Monday......BAREFOOT!!!

Wow, you had a lot to say there. Hey, what do you mean I said Florida won? I am going to be playing hookey on Thursday and Friday. I am going to be too busy this weekend to catch up on any homework, so if I just say I am still on vacation, then it is excused. It will pretty much also give me the whole week to make up any missing assignments.

Well Brother what can I say thank you! It seem sometimes in life you run into a few people who have been granted gifts from god and you and Tracy are some of those few. I hope God continues to bless you. I hope you both know we appreciate you very much and are just so profoundly thankfully for all of the thing you have done and are doing. I am so thankfully to have met you both. Without Christ none of it would have been possible . I have never experienced a family like this and never want to give it up. Thank you love ya both

Jesus said didn't I tell you that you would see Gods glory if you only believe!!

Time to get back to this!!

I have had a great last few days! I really feel like God has been renewing my desire to be closer to Him. I had a wonderful visit with my mother, who was down for the weekend. Got to share a wonderful conversation with a friend and brother in Christ who has a wife that is in bad health, very close to dying.

It would be so amazing if you would pray for the Smith family, they are such awesome servants of God, and they are COMPLETELY relying upon God to carry them through this time. . . trusting in His will, and being blessed and BEING A BLESSING to everyone they come in contact with. . . EVEN IN THE FACE OF DEATH. I thank God for them everyday, and I know that they would love for you to talk with God about them!!!

We also had an awesome meal and fellowship with my cousins and mother. I only wish the day could have lasted longer!! However, I know that God had it all figured out because I was able to catch up on some school work because the night was still young when all the company left.

Jay, I know I have shared with you before, but I always want to be sure that whatever good you see in me is because of Jesus Christ, I am just so thankful to HIM, and I praise HIM everyday for bringing you guys into our lives. I hope you never feel that our relationship is one sided, we recieve blessings from God through you and your family that are a thousand times more valuable than anything (physical, or material) that we have been able to help you all with.

God gets the glory!!! I'm just so grateful that he can use a broken vessel like me to work through
"When I pass through may my name be forgot, may the words that I spoke be as though I have not, I must plan every step so in all that I do, Jesus none would see me, but see through me to YOU" Everybody Duck

I ran with my Lily girl today, she turns all the doggies heads when she gracefully glides through the air! We did 3+ miles today! Some was walking. . . and that silly girl, she stops to make poops like halfway through the run AND I HAVE NOTHING TO CLEAN IT UP WITH!! So here I am with a scrap of paper and a palm frond . . . .and trying to . . . without getting. . . OK .....that's enough of that story!

Tonight is grudge war time in our home. The Detroit Redwings play the Colorado Avalanche and it's not pretty in our home when that happens. GO WINGS . . . Sorry dear, your Avs will lose!!

In closing, I am reminded everyday of how awesome God is, and how amazing it is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I strive everyday to become closer to God, and get into His word more and more and more every day. I hope that you all feel that same desire to be close to God.

He loves you so much!

God bless you crazy kids,
