I just do a lot of six inches and V - Ups.

But the key to getting 'abs' is being real thin and having a good diet.

I rotate between leg raises, incline sit-ups, and the wheel.

I do Core circuits Monday would be Core(Hard) Tuesday would be Core(Light) and etc... I'm not sure if this is good to gain a six pack but it will make your Abs hard as bricks! But id say the wheel, v-ups, the plank, russian twists all excellent ab rippers!

According to Peyton Manning's Pep Talks....unless you're under the age of 23, or a professional football player...it just ain't gonna happen. If I were you, I'd just buy bigger shirts.

I'm a bit over the age of 23, and have learned that ab workouts are fine, but not totally effective unless combined with aerobic workout to burn calories and get rid of the belly covering the ab muscles. I'm working on it, and know those abs are in there somewhere

This may sound ridiculous, but we have one of those "AB Lounge" things, and it's pretty brutal. Far more strenuous than any crunch or sit-up I've ever done.

Planking.
I guess it works everything, but it gives abs a workout.

It is only due to lack of information regarding health fitness and workout..

The reality is that you cannot get a six pack by doing ab work. The fat layer on top of the muscle will NOT go away by doing ab work. That's a myth called "spot reduction." You need to lose fat all over for the fat on your belly to disappear, and the BEST way to get rid of the fat is to do a combination of interval training, strength training, and good diet.

If you want to STRENGTHEN your abs and make them rock-hard, I've found the most effective exercises to be Pilates, push-ups, and the Big Lifts, all of which (when performed correctly) require great core strength. Deadlift, one-arm dumbbell snatches (a much safer alternative to the Olympic snatch), squats, bench press, overhead press, etc. The KEY here is that you have to actually do them correctly. Most people have no idea that they're supposed to be utilizing their core when they do push ups or squats.

My favorite ab-specific exercise is decline crunches, but I'm actually convinced that crunches are practically worthless for developing functional ab strength for two reasons: 1) They're very difficult to do correctly and 2) Your abs are not primarily meant to bend your torso towards your knees. They're primarily meant to keep your spine from flexing. So the big lifts and Pilates, which focus on movements that are functional and natural, are much better for strengthening your core.

Agreed with most above me. If you are looking for "good looking" abs the best solution is a arunning program. But since you asked for ab workouts:

There's not much new under the sun than the usual that is any more effective. The most important thing is to do it til is hard and make yourself work. Keep track of how much/ or how long you do certain exercises and then increase weekly/biweekly.
