Huckabee has been on the Colbert Report... 3 times, I think? He was pretty funny. In the debates he just uses really lame puns -- not his best humor.

The "gates of hell" thing was pretty good.

Yup... it was right up there with the comments on razor blades and shooting people.

Someone ought to compile the completely inappropriate things he's said into a short video.

Who is this? Oh, it's God? How did he get my number? Oh... God has everyone's number... I see... Well I don't have much time... That's right, my lord, you have all the time in the world.

Oh I know. His jokes are either entirely inappropriate or just lame and not funny. But, I mean the fact that he has been on the Colbert Report numerous times while obviously getting ridiculed shows for something. At least he's not so uptight that he actually gets personally offended, but instead laughs along, shows up multiple times, and asks Stephen to be his running mate.

Of course, there are 2 other possibilities... that he's either so stupid he doesn't realize he's being made fun of straight to his face (which seems unlikely given his demeanor on the show, several times having to stop because of laughing at what Stephen said), or that he's so stupid that he thinks that somehow this gets him more votes. But I guess you know what they say, any publicity is good publicity.

Pretty sure he's referring to adding an amendment to ban gay marriage (aka defining marriage as solely between a man and woman). Seems obvious to me at least.

Having a president that could perform actions based on God's will would be awesome, and probably solve a lot of problems. However, as humans, we have shown time and time again that we are ENTIRELY INCAPABLE of correctly interpreting God's will and acting accordingly. I have absolutely no confidence in one person's ability to do this.

I cannot think of one instance where religion-based governments have not turned into conflicts with other countries based on "my invisible friend is right and your invisible friend is wrong, so let's kill each other to see who's invisible friend is right."
