No doubt that LSU is tough. Quote:

They'll feed off of the underdog status. I'd love to see the Big Ten knock off the SEC. I hope even more though, that it's a close game, no matter who wins. |

| I'm die-hard Ohio State fan (who lives in Florida nonetheless; my life is in constant peril) so I'm definitley rooting for them. And I agree RKlover; the '05 Rose Bowl was the most exciting game I've ever seen.

I'm with you all on the '05 Rose Bowl game. My dad & I stayed up & watched the whole thing. It was great. |

| I don't care at all, since it is a total joke to call this the national championship game. |

Thats the only way there will ever be to decide a 2007-08 national championship, due to all the BCS madness. |

| Oklahoma? They have two losses to unranked teams this year. I can't imagine anyone making a convincing argument that two losses to unranked teams is a better season than one loss to the #13 team in the country (Ohio State) or two losses to teams ranked #14 and #17 (LSU). Who else would you put in the game? Georgia? Missouri? Kansas? They didn't even win their conference championship. What sense would it make to put them in the national championship? Virginia Tech? They lost 48-7 to LSU. I don't think anyone is about to say that they are the better team and more deserving of the spot. USC won their conference, but they have two losses, including Stanford. You can't possibly put them ahead of LSU or Ohio State, whose only losses came against teams ranked #17 or better. Of the top 10 teams right now, Hawaii is the only one in my mind that has a remotely legitimite argument for playing in the championship, aside from OSU and LSU.
Was it a crazy season? The craziest. Is the BCS system flawed? Obviously. But Ohio State and LSU clearly had the two best seasons in the country this year, and the winner will deserve to be the national champion just as much as any champions have ever deserved it this side of a playoff. |
