I strongly dislike that headstock and floyds... Overall it is one of the uglier carvins I have seen. That headstock is just not my thing.

I like Carvins. I like figured maple, (though I far prefer quilt to flame) I also think I would have used a higher contrast between wood color and hardware. The floyd nut is also a different color than all the other hardware.

Exactly the point with Carvins... You can build them to what you like.. And their body styles are beautiful along with there new Single Cuts and Semi Hollow Single Cuts.. If someone says that their body styles are to round, then they must not like the Ibanez Satriani models either, very rounded off compared to the RG styles...

I'm not a big fan of guitars that are Blue, Red, Green, Yellow etc.. If there is a color that I do like it is Black (even though it is technically not a Color per se).. However I really do prefer earth tone type guitars and some sunburts... Strats look better with solid colors. But don't give a deep red with a quilt top.. If I want a quilt top I want it to be seen.. Like my LTD I have in my sig..

Here is another decent Carvin.. Now guys, remember I am pulling these guitars off of their "In Stock Guitars" which I wouldn't be suprised if these are guitars that are returned and then sold on the site...

And don't think I love all things Carvin.. I really don't like the Holdsworth model and like I said earlier I don't like it when someone add a "deep blue burst".. Or deep green colors to their guitars...

If I could change that CT6 up there, I'd put a BEM fretboard and gold hardware on it of course.

Carvin's new single cuts are beautiful... But not a huge fan of the green one.. That's what I mean by saying I don't care for the deep colors with nice tops...

One design that I really can't jump on board with is the Peavey Wolfgang.... It's not horrible.. Just not my cup o tea, nor do I really care for the Razor back stuff from dean...

I know...that Ryan Freeland kid really likes some funky stuff...

I do agree with el cabong...that second Carvin (the body through with cream pickups) just looks world's better to me.

Guitars that you should love...buy just don't?

Most people would say Clapton's "Blackie" which sold for $959,500 at a Christie's auction. Who could afford that?

Plus, it's been said that the neck was so worn, it was rendered nearly unplayable, and therefore, overrated. Why would anyone want to play a guitar like that? You'd be better off with an SG.

I'm with Tom on this one, I like most any guitar that I like the neck.

Ahhh, but have you ever played Blackie? I think this one falls into a different catagory as It's more rock memorabilia than a guitar that's meant to be played. But try as I might, I just can't seem to warm up to Gibsons. The Les Pauls are probably the best thing they've got going, but I'd take a mediocre Strat over ANY Gibson any day.

Are you kidding (though I would love to)? I'd be afraid to take the thing out of the case! I've never dropped a guitar in my life, but it would probably would drop that one - of all guitars!

I'll stick with any one of my four Strats.
