| piano music!!?? well, i'm wanting to re-learn how to play piano, and the best way i know how (the way i learned guitar) is to learn songs that i know and enjoy, but i can't find any of them on the internet, and i dont have money to buy a lot of books, so i was wondering if anyone had any good piano parts for any p&w or whatever, or knew of any sites that have them, i would greatly appreciate it...
thanks,
brandon

| Have you checked the sites in the sticky thread up at the top of this forum?? Those are pretty much all the sheet music sites that I know of. Mostly, I just play by ear anyway... so I guess I'm not much help. Sorry.

| I've found that if you get songs with cords for a guitar.... they work just as well. There might be some minor cord differences...but they work

| In sheet music written for guitar... there will sometimes be an extra chord that will not sound good on the piano. Or it will change a little faster or slower.

| Yeah... that's true. I find it usually happens during bass runs (E/G#, E/F#, E).... anyway, I guess the same thing could be said for piano. Ever tried playing a hymn (as it's written) on the guitar??

| Yeah, that's always fun!
I love to see other guitarists struggling to keep up because the chords change basically every quarter-note!
But i have piano experience, so it's not a problem for me, i know which chords to play, and which ones to leave out. |

I tried my hand at playing an organ the other day.......
Its crazy!!!! Have ya ever tried it? All four of yer limbs going at one time.. I think that if I want all my body parts moving at one time I'll learn how to dance or something*LOL*
The foot pedal stuff on the organ is the hardest. Ack! Its enough to drive a person mad! *LOL*

| I've never played on an organ with footpedals..... but I have used all four limbs at once before while playing keyboard. I set up my sustain pedal to switch from slow to fast rotary speed and hit that with my left foot.... I use my right foot for my volume pedal.
