| It's interesting to see how every photographer here has a definite style.
I had to vote for Nate, nice shot, and the shadow is really a main emphasis. |

#4 | | ... | Woah. Viewing my photo from a public computer here at school makes it look very dark. Well, it's obviously dark, but so much so that it's missing a lot of detail (that is there).
For reference, do I need to brighten dark images like this in the future? I overall darkened this one a bit to get it where I wanted for my display... but I'm just wondering what it looks like out there.

| It looks very dark on my desktop monitor, but I can tell what you were going for on my laptop monitor, which I think is a bit too bright sometimes. I think you could have done better brightening it up a bit. |

| I finally ended up figuring out some of that calibration mess. I didn't buy any expensive hardware to do it automatically unfortunately, but I did figure out that they recommend Macs change their default gamma from 1.8 to 2.2.
Here's a lot of helpful info. http://www.gballard.net/psd/go_live_...Gprofiles.html |

| Jump5Fan. All the angles and lines and shapes and the interactions between them all are really nifty. I particularly like how the angled lines formed in the upper-left corner by the top two curly-q things on the baker's rack are almost exactly parallel to and lined-up with the angled lines in the shadow. Very cool.

| I feel like Cadence, ApparentlyNothing, and tht00 focused more on light than on shadow. Jump5fan's is good, but I feel like it's a bit too busy for my liking. And Natedawgs is aesthetically pleasing, but there could've been more defined shadow, I think.
Therefore.... I am voting for RainerJon's. Er, already did, actually. I just love the striking silhouette of the glass. Silhouettes = perfect example of shadow, imo. And that is something that I feel the other photos were missing. |

#14 | | Cool enough Administrator | I ended up voting for Brandon. In the end, I just could not ignore that incredible picture.
Jon's was amazing, and Nate's was quite good, but Brandon's sticks with me.
Actually, everybody's pictures were quite good this week. I was very impressed. Chelsea's was really good, too, and I wish she had left it up. |
