But really, a decent understanding of a few options insurance wise should take you at most a few days.

Don't let stuff like this scare you. It is key to really just tackle stuff like that as an adult.
Yeh I understand. Im pretty sure we can tackle some of the minor things (colds and such) with some vitamins and eating healthy and not having to worry about going to the doctor for everything.

This whole thing is scary lol right now were just saving up money and planning on having everything ready so we can know the costs and have money ready for the unexpected, cause it always happens. Than were going to sit down and show both our families were capable of all of this with our budgets and the money we have saved to get a little more of there grace out of this lol.

The money was always there when we needed it, somehow, and it was cheaper than any insurance.

There was 2 areas where this didn't work: My scoliosis, and 7 births. I went to a chiropractor twice a week for almost 6 years, but insurance doesn't normally cover chiropractors anyway. The other issue was paying for the births of my siblings, but my mom had homebirths with the last 5, and again, insurance wouldn't cover it anyway.

So if insurance is your biggest hang-up, and you're both pretty healthy anyway, I wouldn't worry about it.

($0.02)

BTW, if you're ever interested on how to eat well for pennies per meal, I've got a whole ton of tips and recipes.

Yeh im not going to be able to afford anything good or even decent lol but were both healthy and go to the doctor more than once or twice a year so we should be ok.

And I might have to take you up on eating well lol cause I KNOW were going to need it haha

well, colds are a virus so all you can do is mask the symptoms and wait em out. I think you guys mentioned having a pretty good savings right now.

I will just tip my hand for a moment. My wife and I lived in San Diego our first year of school. every month I brought in around 1200-1400 a month. rent was 750, once you factor in car insurance, health insurance, and utilities and gas to get to work, and a car payment, we were really, really struggling to make it. However, with careful planning we did, without ever really sacrificing anything we needed.

Also, good insurance versus bad is often not much of a price difference. When I was in college, the cheaper insurance covered more than the more expensive policy I looked at. It was a matter of looking into things and finding a good deal as opposed to a bad one.

Ramen and beans may become your friends for a while, but it can certainly be worth it to be married.
