my life has been tough and painfull so i made this thread for people to post the worst heart pain they have ever been thruogh

This cross sits atop a hill, towering over the valley where I live.

Instead of dwelling on the things in your life that have caused you pain, couldn't you find ways in which to remember the grace and mercy of God in your life?
Instead of letting the hard moments consume you, couldn't you seek to find joy in your Heavenly Father?

I'm not suggesting that you forget, or trying to belittle anyone's hurt, but it seems to me that it is not glorifying to God to allow it to take precedence in your thoughts or life.

I think this is a bad idea, nothing more nothing less. I could put when I was abused down and describe that, but in short... its not helpful to dwell on the pains of the past. Believe me, I carry some big ones, but the fact is that pressing on means in a lot of ways defying the past and not letting it define you.

If life has been brutal to you, rather than dwell on the pain, Id recommend talking to an older and wiser person. Sometimes you need to vent, but rather than venting, this seems like it will turn into a mess in a hurry.

Some of us on this board have endured tragedy, and things nobody should ever have to, but focusing on that is crippling. If you need to talk to someone, you can PM me or one of the advice mods.
