| This is what i would say is bottom line.Lets just say you do love this girl. What now?Obviously you cant marry her and the chances of you marrying her in the future are gonna be slim(for now).So even if it is love it doesnt seem like it would lead to anywhere.

| nolan, you're cute.
but trust me, when you get older, you'll know exactly what we're all talking about, and you'll laugh at yourself just like how we laughed at ourselves.
when i was your age i was a complete sucker for love. my first crush in 1st grade, first "girl friend" at 5th grade. love had me on a leash. at your age you think you love everyone because you haven't experienced love enough yet. you just really, really like her, how's that?
p.s. im a guy.

Actually, I laugh at myself for making similar arguments to the ones being made here.

If someone says "I'm in love with that person," but they can't give specific character traits that interest them, it's at best lust. I'd be scared to marry someone who said "Oh, I love Jeff," but if asked why said: "I don't know. It's silly to ask me why I'm in love." One would hope she'd cite things about my personality or character that she enjoyed.

didn't you look back at her and was like, "psh whatever"..?
and then a couple months/years later you laughed at yourself because now it just seems so silly to have liked someone like her?
well, the reason i laugh at the past girls that i've been infatuated over is because i currently have a girlfriend who is amazing and who i love very much. looking back now, my ex was a joke! i was a freshmen in high school, and i wasn't ready for a relationship, at the time i felt mature enough to be in one, but looking back, i was no where near ready. and you find reasons for the things you did in the past a few years later because at the time, everything made sense right?
