So, what's up with all of these NFL & NBA players being robbed? It seems like there have been a lot recently. What happened to body guards?

Well, to state the obvious, professional athletes have money, thus they are targets for robbery. As far as bodyguards go, normally, one assumes that the home, if properly secured is a safe place to be. Besides, how often recently have we heard about bodyguards and entourages getting SuperStars into trouble?
