I find it extremely biased and laughable because of the language used in the article.

Bottom line, this has nothing to do with either Government or Economics directly so I'm directly sending this to Science before the argument begins and I have to sift through every post, though, I'd rather delete it.

I must say it addresses a concern I have.

That being, that I do have questions as to the validity of global warming as the data from ice cores seems to be more compressed than actual temperature variance.

Also I do think the issue has been handled more politically than responsibly.

I wondering why the scientist is countering the politicians with mere rhetoric, rather than any actual information...

That's what scientists do.

An interesting read, but I would have liked to see some hard data.

Also it came across a little too unscientific sounding for me. I was a little put off by the tone of it

Interesting. Sounds quite a bit like State of Fear, which is supposedly inaccurate.
I'm surprised he didn't mention the Holocene at the end.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

I watched this video a while ago and it basically made me not know what to think at all. But at least there's plenty of actual data being given instead of rhetoric.

well in all fairness, it is a blog post, and often blog posts are used to just get things off your chest. I imagine that if he were writing an actual article about global warming there would be actual scientific data.

I have always wondered what the actual cycle of the earth's temperature range is. Is it a year, 2 years, 5 years, 25 years, 100 years? I'm not sure myself, but I believe it could be 5 to 10 years, at least. What do you think? In the late '70's we were being warned of a coming Ice Age because of what we were doing to the environment. Now, they're saying the opposite. My question is, do they really know, or is it theory du jour?

Umm...it was written by John Coleman...John Coleman might've been a great weatherman when he was in Chicago and worked for Good Morning America and founded The Weather Channel, but nowadays it's a bit of a looney. I'm not sure if I really trust his opinion on Global Warming just based on his credentials because what I've seen of him on TV (Coleman's KUSI is the local independent TV station)

That being said, I do think that to an extent Global Warming is a scam...I don't think I'm as adamant about it as Coleman is, but I do think this is a highly politicized event. I don't agree with Coleman that it is a non-event, but I would not be surprised to find out that any sort of crisis is completely manufactured.

OK, he may be a meteorologist, but when I hear things like:
Quote:
I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change.
I can't help but think of the arguments I've heard by every single conspiracy theorist.

Dozens of papers is hardly even scratching the surface of the multiple disciplines that have contributed to the base of knowledge on a comprehensive subject like climate change.
