| LC7rock's Journal Ya'll What's up peeps, my user name is LC7rock. Just for a background, I'm a christian school student in Southern Ohio (at the very edge of the Applachian Mountains, technically I live in the Appalachians, AND I LOVE MY STATE)!!! I'm kind of a hick (redneck + Hillbilly) !!! I play guitar (of course) A LOT, and I write songs constantly!!! I've played acoustic for three years now, and electric for two, but all the guitarists around me are suprised about how far God has taken my abilities. When I was an newborn I was profisied over that I would be a musician for God. When I hit 13 I got interested in music and ever since I have been crazy about writing music. I actually started experimenting with Christian Hip-Hop, electronica/techno music, but I found Christian rock as my place!!! I love doing rock music!!! I can play all guitar styles, but I mostly play in a kind of punk rock style (kinda like santuc real and Relient K, mixed with a little switchfoot and kutless). I've always been some-one who will try hard at anything I set my mind to. And christian music is what I've been called to. I've always known that God has called me for great things, I'm just trusting him on the way.
My family and me are major christian music fans!!! We listen to way too much music and all kinds too (except its all christian). We go to way too many concerts!!! I also am in a family of school teachers! Third generation too! Even my brother is studying for his teaching degree!!!
My user name is from my (former) band name, which was based after a picture I took. The picture was of my brother juggling flaming torches and the shutter speed was really slow, so it had in perfect form, LC7 written in flames. So I thought about it and I though, Loving Christ 7 (7 is the number of perfection) so it is Loving Christ, (perfect) Because a loving christ is the only thing perfect.

| Hello, I've been sick lately (like anybody even reads this thread anyway). I had to miss school for a day, but I've written a song called "Shot Heard Round the World". I'm pretty excited about my song line up for this demo CD. This makes the 29th I have written for it and I'm thinking about completing more recording this week. Also THE RELIENT K / SWITCHFOOT CONCERT IS TOMMORROW!!!! I am so, so ready for this concert. I've been to a bunch of concerts, but this will have to be a really good one cause I've never seen Relient K or Switchfoot (and them and Sanctus Real are my biggest musical influences). I'm also really praying about my music gear situation. My playing skills have out grown the instruments I have, but I'm praying and hoping that God will supply my needs. I've already been given an acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and bass amp. But my electrics kinda stink. But I'm still praying and believing cause the money I had saved for a better electric had to go out to family, but really, that just means I'm sowing in and God will supply me with something better. Bye peeps!

| The concert ROCKED!!! It was really great, but the only downer was that Matt T was fighting a cold and had trouble singing. I also bought The Beautiful Letdown because I have guitar tabs for it, and I know another place I can find Oh Gravity. So far today I've written two new songs and I'm going to start recording again really really soon, so I'm pretty excited and happy!!!
On other topics I might be the Worship Leader for a multi-church youth group function!!! I'm really excited about it too. Also my brother just bought Demon Hunter's new cd!!! I really have to admit that it doesn't sound like the past DH stuff, but it still seems really good. Well, that's all for now. See ya!!! |

Btw, do you like Skillet? | I'm doin fine thank you. I like the teeth by the way . I love the songs Adding to the Noise, Meant to Live, More than Fine, Ammunition, and Gone!!! What's funny is I'm the only person at my school who can play Meant to Live (that song is EASY!!!) and the wannabe guitarist (the popular jerk in every school) keeps singing it and acting like he's playing guitar. I can't help break out laughing at how dorky he looks cause he can't even play anything on guitar (he has one, but lacks the skills) and his singing is bad.
I had a major sound board problem at school today. I run the sound and projector for my school's chapel services. And every week someone always messes up the EQ; well this week they broke the whole thing!!! I had twenty minutes to figure out what to do... and the other sound board didn't have enough power!!! So, I ended up having to stop the whole service (which was alright cause our speaker was a half hour late) and get a bunch of junky computer speakers which had a short in them (I had to hold the thing the whole time cause of the short). |

The guy in the Awakening video (the one who ends up switching places with Jon) is their guitar tech!!! Also some of their songs use the same guitar riffs. |

You held the thing the whole time? How long does the chapel service last? What is a chapel service? So, what kind of school do you go to? Quote:

I've never noticed that their songs use the same guitar riffs...well, I guess that just makes them easier to play...?
So, how's today going for you?

It's one of the first things I ever learned on guitar!
And I agree exactly with the songs you like! I'd just add Beautiful Letdown.

You held the thing the whole time? How long does the chapel service last? What is a chapel service? So, what kind of school do you go to? | Hi guys, back from the weekend... I'm a Junior at a christian school and our school is really small (like thirty in the whole high school; 100 something in the entire school). My mom teaches 4th grade here (yes, I had her as a teacher ) See a chapel service is like a church service (a bit shorter though). Technically, people say I'm the best guitarist at my school (there used to be one other that had played longer, but I learned very quickly in the 3-4 years I've been playing), but there's a few posers. I act humble about my playing skills, but the other guy tries to talk so big about himself that I have to keep myself from laughing at how wrong he is. He got the whole up/down thing on the finger board messed up... that guys a jerk, but I tolerate him.
...and...
I GET THREE DAYS OFF THIS WEEK!!!!
About the guitar riffs, The songs More Than Fine and Easier Than Love are the one's I'm talking about. I'm sure there's a few others I just can't remeber what they are. |

| Hello and welcome back! Your school is small! I'm a senior in a public school, and my school is small compared to other public schools...we have like 300 total in our whole school...Pre-K through 12th...about 90 in the whole high school...my grade has the smallest number of students...we have 17 people in my grade...
I GET THIS WHOLE WEEK OFF! I'm very happy...I get to do nothing for a whole week, and eat good food Thursday!
So, how's today going?
