Hi!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I've been really busy. And no ,Mellow, there is nothing between me and Disneygirl, but my brother did take her to prom though.

And yes... I did copy your idea, but that's because it was a good idea... (props to Mellow)

My week has been a whirlwind!!! My brother was supposed to be Scrooge in our church Christmas play, but he got sick... so I was forced into the part. (No, its not the Christmas Carol, we had to write half of the play because the original version stunk) So, since I barely even knew the lines... I ad-libbed the whole thing!!! And by the way the crowd responded to it... It must of been pretty good. (I kinda have a knack for acting stuff, especially ad-libbing)

Lately my family was checking out some new local stores... One was a music shop and I got to try out an amazing guitar!!! It was an Epiphone Les Paul Custom... that really was a "Custom" Les Paul Custom. This thing had been outfitted with top of the line Gibson Pickups!!! (No, kidding, this thing sounded awesome!!!) They had put a bunch of Gibson gear on it... and were only charging $100 more for it, because it was used when they bought it (it was customized in the store) This guy plugged it into a little amp and this thing still sounded amazing!!! It was $699, but sadly, I didn't have near enough for it... Oh well, I'm just glad I got to play it!!!

Christmas was good... I got enough to get my guitar (not the really good one, but hey, I can still dream about it; I'll probably just end up with a Epi Les Paul Standard) ... or recording thing... whichever I feel like getting. The people at the guitar stores always let me try stuff... Not because I'm a guy , but because they hear me talking about all the gear in the store... (except places that sells Fender stuff... they hate me because I only try the used Gibson copy stuff) (there's only a few Fenders that I like... A few Tele's and P basses)

Yeah, the play was fun... crowd seemed to think it was funnier than I did...

Well, sadly I won't be posting in CPF until school starts again. Our internet kinda gets tied up at home so I'll try to post some today.

In other news I had to record a song and make a video for my school. (grant stuff... they needed a video) I made it kind of a ska / funk (Skunk!!! ) sounding song... My mom didn't want much guitar stuff with an overdrive (dist, whatever ya'll like to call it) It's in wma format but I'll try to put it on here later...

Hi!!! I'm watching Chicken Run right now...

Yesterday was interesting... For the third time this week someone has stolen gas out of my grampa's truck. Well, this time... we caught them in the middle of it. They must of ran off while we were coming and they left their gas can and the gas cap on the truck open. So we stayed out their and called the cops... sadly, my town's lousy police force (2 cops, and a town of 4,000) was on a 3 day break. But they were able to get at least one cop from another area to check out the seen... Sadly, because of the frost they weren't able to get fingerprints, and weren't even going to try. They said they had gotten a bunch of places and were even stealing car parts... Well, lets put it this way... Their road is a dead end (even has a sign that says dead end) and someone drove by my grandparents house 30 min after the cops were their. (pretty fast too) Now there are lots of better places on that street to turn around at. And we investigated it a little bit on our own. The people that own the car... live two blocks away. They wouldn't need to turn around on our road... Also the times they strike are while were at church... This is getting frustrating but it seems whoever owns the car was probably looking to get the gas back after the cops were gone...

The cop told us to buy a motion sensor camera... We had a bunch of other suggestions.... like my "humble" suggestion of a car alarm that says "Self-destruct sequence activated" They didn't buy that one very well...

About the song... It did have lyrics after I finished the music, but I can't find my microphone. We have two, but one doesn't work and I've looked really hard for the other one but I couldn't find it. Next time I go to Guitar Center I'm going to get one... I'm not getting a guitar, but I am getting the 8 track recorder. (It doesn't record 8-tracks , it just lets you put 8 different tracks down on a song)

That's all...

Oh, well. Tonight I'm going to playing for my church's "watch night" service.

That "Self-destruct sequence activated" alarm would be so funny to just attach to any old thing and freak out anyone who uses it.

Hi!!!

I haven't posted in two days because of snow days.

Day before yesterday (should be a movie)

I had a snow day!!! It was supposed to be my first day back from break... but, the weather planned otherwise... The snow was awesome!!! Perfect powder!!! I got to use the old skateboard ramp with my snowboard for the first time, but getting used to it was a little weird. Normally all my jumps and tricks are from me physically jumping on my own (on or off little inclines where I could get a little bit more jump height). I got used to it later but not after taking a few really bad bails. Thats just normal with snowboarding, the bails don't hurt as bad as you'd think, but sometimes they can hurt really bad!!! ...they're still fun though... The speed I hit it mostly determined the way your body has to react to it... I also helped my grandpa at his farm and we looked about security cameras...

The best part of the trip with my grandpa deals with a dog... We stopped to see our great aunt and uncle (since they live about a mile away from my grandpa's farm) So we're leaving and one of their dogs (trust me every dog in the area stays at their house) gets right at the front-right of the car and keeps chasing us... and sometimes he is right in front of the truck... so my brother (he's driving) slows down so he doesn't hit him... but my grandpa says "Just run over him!!! He does that to everyone!!! Don't slow down speed up!!!" (Our hillbilly side came out) So my brother speeds up and the look of terror in that dog's eyes was priceless!!! We went for a quarter mile with him where we couldn't see him and my brother says "Well, I don't see him behind us... and I haven't heard a thump... he's still runnin'!!!" We laughed till the point of tears!!! It was hilarious the look on his face... He later got out of the way, but that was priceless!!!

Yesterday (the sequel)

A snow day with more snowboarding except I put my ramp up on the top of my ditch (it's a big one too and with my hill I get enough speed to launch out of it) and it made for a perfect quarter pipe!!! I worked on my jumps off the ramp and the "Quarter Pipe"

Later we decided to go to guitar center!!! (YAY!!!)
I got that recording thing and two condenser mics (a small diaphragm and a large diaphragm...) But when I went to get it... I couldn't see any of the 8-track recorders they had advertised (I was looking at a tascam one in their ads) And the guy said they were phasing them out... So I asked about the one in their ad and he said they had removed them all... So I asked if they had any in the $300 range and he went back and found the one I had posted a link about. (It's a Fostex) And he said that was the only one they had in stock out of all of them!!! The guy there also cut off $50 off of the price of all of the stuff I got. (I had to get mic stands and cords and guitar strings too) I haven't got to try it yet... (we got home late) but I'll try to tonight

Today (buy the complete trilogy for $19.95 )

Today we only had a 90 min delay... We're just setting up for our school's homecoming... it's been kind of a boring day... I don't really want to go to homecoming but I'm kinda being forced to by my parents... and the peeps that don't know how to run the sound... So I might go, and I might not. Oh, well...

And that's about it...

Wow! That whole gas stealing incident reminds me of something that happened to my grandpa...my dad told me this story...he said when he was living at home and stuff (a long time ago)...that my grandpa suspected somebody of stealing gas out of his truck...so one night my grandpa was drunk and he got his shotgun and went outside and just started shooting everywhere and shouting and screaming (which wasn't good 'cause he could've shot somebody)...but anyway, my dad said the next morning...they found a gas can and a hose on the road...apparently, my grandpa's suspicions were correct...and whoever was stealing gas from him was scared away, and never did it again...who could blame him, though?
