| #!/usr/bin/girl Heya,
I've decided to start posting a blog again. The old one went to a better place which is probably a good thing. I'm hoping that I have the commitment and time to keep this one alive.
For those who don't know me here are the basics: as the user name indicates, my name is Rhonda. Originally I hail from Nova Scotia, Canada but I have been residing in Prince Edward Island for over four years now. I originally moved over for school; I have since graduated with a diploma in Medical Office and currently I am working a dead end call centre job to pay the bills.
My interests include reading, studying religion, computers, guitar playing, sewing, photography and singing. I sing in my church choir and a community choir. I also perform on a regular basis with a close friend of mine. I am an active member of the United Church of Canada.
In my spare time I can be found hanging out with friends, enjoying the outdoors or embracing my OCD personality while cleaning an already clean apartment.
I have recently been accepted in the University of Prince Edward Island where I plan to further my knowledge of world religions and how they play in our society as I start a Religious Studies program (providing of course I can get the funding).
I look forward to getting back into the blogging community!
Cheers!
Rhonda

I thought it would attract someone..

So do you still work for that same hosting company you used to? I can't remember the name off the top of my head. |

A lot of the novelty has wore off by this point but it still remains interesting. It keeps me on my toes with the current trends with hosting which is always good. Quote:

The knee is still a problem. I actually just got back from outpatients. The doctor prescribed some pain medication and has given me a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. Slightly frightening I will admit but it will be good to get a proper diagnosis.
Don't feel bad about not understanding the blog title. I figure there are very few people who do.. :P

| I had orthopedic surgery on my knee. It's better than other type of surgery, I think - it healed pretty quick ( I had the surgery on December 26th and was dancing again by that spring).
I'm glad your job is still interesting even without the novelty. Can you refresh my memory about where you work?
Hope life is good!

Hope life is good! | I'm hoping that it doesn't come down to surgery. Time off work is hard to swing.
I work as a second level web hosting technician for a company out of Boston. It sounds fancy but it's really not. I help customers with various aspects of their hosting such as site management, domains, email, coding etc.

| So we made it though another seasonal hurricane. On Saturday night/Sunday morning we were bombarded with high winds and heavy rains. There was not much damage. I woke up around 4:30 when I heard a loud explosion and shortly after we lost power. It was near impossible to sleep after that. Our building was shaking with the wind. I'm not a fan of storms so I woke my room mate and we stayed up talking until things died down a bit.
On Sunday my friend and I sang a duet in church. We did the Evening Prayer from the Hansel and Gretel opera. It went really well despite being sleep deprived and the low numbers due to the storm.
Yesterday wasn't overly exciting. My pace and been slowed significantly since the knee injury. I managed to make it out to choir rehearsal last night. It was a good time. We are preparing music for Remembrance Day this coming Sunday. It should be a good show. There is a lot of good music.. I'm pretty excited!

| Things over the past week have been interesting to say the least.
I saw the orthopedic surgeon on Thursday and was told that there may be a crack in one of the bone in my leg but it was unclear from the x-ray. He suggested that I wait two more weeks and determine from there what should be done. Sometimes I love the Canadian health care system. I've been injured and sleep deprived for three weeks now and was told to wait another two. I have missed time from work because of all this as well. However, I cannot really complain too much...
As some of you may recall from my prayer request my grandfather was having a hard time with hip replacement. He has been in and out of surgery since the end of June. The last surgery he was told that they would have to wait another six months to see if they could replace the hip. Well two months passed and they decided to give it another try. He went in for surgery today. Hopefully this is the final time and things will work out. Here is the ironic part though. As he was getting out of surgery today my other grandfather fell off his truck and broke his hip. I was speaking to Dad this afternoon when I learned this and my other grandfather was waiting to go in for surgery at that time. It's amazing how things like this always happen all together. Seems like our family is keeping the orthopedic surgeons in Atlantic Canada going!

How did your grandfathers' surgeries go? |
