actually, i'm a she...that's why my name's Katey. and no one on earth ever claimed to care about Duke football, including the football team! we know they stink! but we sure make up for it in basketball! man, how about Mike Dunleavy beating NCSU in the first half the other night?

I'm a HUGE Duke fan (basketball only) and have been for two hundred years!

But I have another football team so I don't even follow Duke football cause UT has the best football program ever in the world (woo hoo).

Ugh, UT. The only school I dislike more than UT is Klempson (clemson for commoners). Hey Brian, sounds like we have a couple of bandwagon jumpers in our midst. I like Duke, but they're far from my favorite team in hoops. You're not a true fan of a school unless you pull for them in all sports, even the ones they stink at (trust me I'm a fan of the real Carolina). Just my opinion, no love lost, huh ladies?

my bad...i'm the most fanatical Duke basketball fan ever. and i do cheer for the football team, it's just that i, along with every other Duke fan, has gotten used to the fact that our cheering does no good!

i had an interesting convo with a gal that goes to THE Ohio State University with me....

she claimed that OSU b-ball sucked and she was a Duke fan... and i had to correct her that not only is our team quite good this year, but we were in the final four a few years ago and, if all goes according to plan, may make it to, at worst, the sweet 16

she was just another typical ignorant dookie! ;-)

and she loved dickey v!!!

as for all those not-so-true Dukies...well, what can ya say. front-runners suck. but those of us who were still fanatics back in '95 when Coach K was out and they sucked...now that's the essence of college basketball!

how can i not like him? he's the most biased, most annoying comomentator in sports today! EVEN worse than Keith Jackson is and Howard Cosell was.

First you attack UT, which is the religion here in beautiful Tennessee. Then you insinuate that I am a bandwagoner just because I only like Duke in basketball. Hey, I liked Duke before Christian Laettner ever even arrived on the scene.... some of you don't even remember Christian Laettner days! So there

What can I say? My mom's from NC and it's a family rivalry!

Hey, I can't have give ground on the UT issue, sorry... no chance after the last two USC/UT games. The Vols have broken my heart twice (beaten us by a total of 10 points in the last two years... both wins coming on the last UT drive of the game) *sniff*.

I respect that you liked Duke before Christian Laettner (yes, I remember when he played NCAA ball). To expain what I meant, I know a lot of people who started liking Duke just recently and act like they're the biggest Blue Devil fans in the world. It grates on a brotha (probably b/c we have similar peeps at USC and they're all ignorant "fans" who don't know anything outside of the past two years). Ahh, well, I meant it in jest anyhow, so no hard feelings.

hhhmmm.... i guess i must be a true aggie fan then, cause our basketball team STINKS!!!

and because of that, even though i am an aggie at heart, i am a duke fan at basketball. i guess if A&M ever plays duke, i will have to root for A&M cause they are my team, but i know they wont win, so i win either way!
