nestamanchris, there are absolutely no hard feelings, my man. I was just clarifying my position as a loyal and true blue Dukie. And I'm (kinda) sorry about the USC stuff . They really are a MUCH MUCH better team than ever before. We used to just massacre y'all!

I like the Duke basketball program. You don't get any better than J-Will, who is actually a bright person. (for those of you that don't remember Shane Battier the student, 3.8?, Religion major) Coach K is the best. The Devils are a bit like the Yankees of their sport; some people hate them, some people are fanaticals for them. How 'bout them Baylor basketball bears? Lawrence Roberts and John Lucas the freshmen are about as good as any freshmen I've seen this year. Oklahoma State just scraped by this young Baylor squad.

And guyforgod, Ohio States basketball program does stink. Whoever said it was right. Come to think of it, their football team isn't that good either. I like Michigan much better!

funny you should say that.... if your Baylor team is so "good" then my buckeyes must b on the verge of a nat'l championship.

we have a better record with a tougher schedule.

but yes you're right you're so much "better" than we are at everything

all hail the mighty green bear

well lets see here...... lets take a look at the RPI rankings as of Jan 17, 2002
___________Sched SS
Rank Team W L Strg Rk RPI

19 Ohio St. 13 2 .5675 58 .6304
85 Baylor 10 5 .5073 147 .5483

how dare i think i have a good team.... sheesh you do with numbers much lower than me ;-)

and don't even bring up big ten schedule, because from the same report, the Big Ten teams have, on average, the second toughest conference schedules right behind the Pac 10

where's the big 12? ranked 6th

Your conference is not nearly as tough despite the numbers you gave me. Period.

btw.... i thought it would be of interest to you to know that all four of the football teams still in the playoffs have former Buckeyes in their lineups....

can your "Green Bears" say that?

i think not.

here they are, in case you wondered:
S Damon Moore of the Eagles vs DT Ryan Pickett (Rookie) and OT Orlando Pace of the Rams.

DL Rodney Bailey (Rookie) of the Steelers vs LB Mike Vrabel, LB Andy Katzenmoyer, and WR Terry Glenn of the Patriots.

Last time I looked Ohio State had one of the most storied traditions in all of college football. I'm all about supporting your team, but to say that OSU 'stinks' just isn't logical. Speaking as a Gamecock, I'd say that Baylor isn't exactly the cream of the crop in the Big XII, or ever their division. Ahh well, what do I know, my team's history isn't exactly something to brag about. And while they may not have the best freshmen tandem in college basketball, they were 14-2 last I saw. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Baylor hata, but while OSU didn't have their best team ever the past year, they were in a New Years Day bowl and no doubt have a great football history. Either way all I have left to say is GO GAMECOCKS!!!

here's a bit more info on those "terrible" buckeyes.... seems someone at espn.com thinks they're quite a good team.... projected them as a number 2 seed for the tourny....

(yes i do realise that this means nothing now, but it is nice to finally have the bucks get some props for playin so well this year.)

Look, all I'm saying is this. Illinois is the best team in the Big 10, right? They're ranked eighth. Check out KU. The Big 12 is just a much tougher basketball division. Not to mention Bobby Knight's Red Raiders, who have played as well as just about anybody.

I'm probably the biggest, faithful Duke fan here! I was born and raised in Durham, have been a Duke fan since I was born. I loved Christian Laettner, Bobby Hurley, all those guys. I got autographs of alot of Duke players also. About the football issue-
no players are really recruited for Duke football 'cause they don't want to play on a loosing team. B-ball is different 'cause its Coach K we're talking about. If Duke football still had Spurrier, it would be a different story. But hey, at least the football team is consistent! They lose and lose...haha. Anyways, I will remain a Duke fan until death do I part...

I'm guessing/hoping it will be a 30 point win. 40 point would be nice but we will see...
