| I've had it going for a while now with Mail. Works pretty good. The only problem is, and I don't know if this is just a thing with Mail and how it interacts with Gmail or if it's just Gmail's implementation of IMAP, when I delete an email, instead of sending it to the trash on the server, it adds a label "Deleted Messages". It also happens with sent messages getting a label "Sent Messages". Meh, still way better than POP. |

I haven't used Gmail's IMAP yet. |

I just now noticed that although I do have it set to store deleted messages on the server, I also had it set to send it to my Trash, which must have been why it did what you said. I turned that option off, so we'll see how it goes. |

| I found out today that deleting in Mail just sends the message to the Gmail archive. At least when it was adding labels, I could easily select all the ones I deleted and actually send them to the Gmail trash, so I switched it back. |

| I don't delete facebook emails. I label them and ignore them. I like it that way. |
