It's a good deal - and the beauty of it is that it isn't just open to the US. It's a world-wide offer (though price varies a little from country to country based on the old values of the US dollar).

Of course this is Microsoft trying to hook the next generation into the latest offering, but I'll take software that would be $699 here for $70. Open Office was starting to not be able to meet all my needs anymore which is unfortunate as I don't like to support MS if I don't have to.
