ESPN the magazine vs SI

I guess this is where this would go...

I'm trying to decide which to subscribe to; I've read both every week from the library, but I would rather not have 2-3 week old issues....
If there are any reasons for your choice, post them!

The folks in Sports and Athletics can help you more than us book-worm academics in this conversation. Off to that forum we go...

Agreed, Brian. Thanks.

I subscribe to ESPN the Magazine.

I have in the past had each one. I find ESPN the Magazine to be more entertaining. First of all, my favorite writer is The Sports Guy, Bill Simmons. He has an article in ESPN. So does Dan LeBatard. So does Super Stu. Also, I think their articles are just better.

I wasn't sure....thanks!

Btw Art, I do like the writing better; but the previews (NFL, MLB, NBA) seem better researched in SI.

A subscription to ESPN the magazine also gives you insider access on ESPN.com. Case close.

Doesn't the same apply to Si.com?

Have you seen how much better ESPN.com is than SI.com? Seriously, ESPN is a great website, easily navigable, tons of features, and the insider access gets you a LOT of extra material, plus full access to the archives. Really, Insider is the main reason I would get the magazine to begin with.
