| Weekly Challenge #2 10/9 - 10/16 Challenge #2 is... Photograph light you find interesting in such a way that the source is hidden
What this exactly means is up to you. Be creative. Try and take a photo where the light is one of the main focuses, or if you can, THE main focus, without actually showing the source.
Rules:
1) Photo must be taken between 10/9 and 10/16 of 2007. No digging up old photos.
2) EXIF data must remain within the photo.
3) Please post entries either as a jpeg attachment or as a thumbnail no bigger than 500px wide with a link to the larger version if you want.
4) Since the challenge is rather ambiguous, don't argue whether you think a certain photo can be submitted because you personally don't think that light is one of the subjects. As long as the source is hidden and the the photographer intended light as one of the subjects, it is a valid entry.
5) To keep this thread simple and clean, if you don't want to enter and just want critique before an official entry, post it in the designated photography critique thread, not here. You can however discuss the subject or any entries here if you want.
Alright, have at it.

I think this fits the criteria, but if you guys disagree, I can withdraw it.

This is my official entry. (In case I have to say that somewhere to be considered official...) | While I think this is a nice shot, I'm not sure it meets the criteria. Since the light source needs to be hidden, and the sun is clearly visible, it kinda goes against the requirements. The idea of the challenge is for your photo not to scream "THIS IS LIGHT!" but be more subtle in it's display. Quote:

However, part of me feels like I'd like for the angle to be a little lower (maybe?) to emphasize the DOP and the focus to be brought a little closer in so you can see more detail of the dew and grass blades. But it's a cool shot for the challenge nonetheless. |

I had a few "yeahs" and so I went ahead and submitted it. I understand if you must withdraw it. |

| It's okay. When I saw Jeff's and Jon's, it makes sense to me why it doesn't work. I will try again next time. |
